I’m inconsistent as fuck. But I’m consistently inconsistent. That’s not something to brag about. But anyway, I’ve noticed that during and after college, I could not stick to one thing. My mind and my ambitions would lead me everywhere. I had all the ideas to do this and that and the other. And guess what, I never did any of the things I set out to do. I have so many projects that are unfinished and will probably never be finished. And that scares me.

Some people believe that success has everything to do with your mindset. All the YouTube ads talk about it. The gurus and the scammers want us to do “these simple things” and you too will be able to get to the next level. Sad to say but those get rich quick schemes are only going to put you in debt. The key to your success is to find one thing and master it. You have to be consistent. If you want to be a great writer, you have to practice. If you’re an athlete, you practice. Do you think great people are just great? No, they work consistently to get better at their craft. You don’t become an overnight success. There’s no such thing. Behind that success was sleepless nights, missing meals, practicing, and then finally success. But no one wants to put in the work. We want the result. If you’re truly talented, why not invest in yourself. Start small and create milestones. Consistency is built up over time. It’s a habit. And when you get to a certain point you’ll look back at all the hard work you did. You’ll appreciate the hustle and you’ll enjoy your success.
