Get Into Cool Events For Free
Back in my 20s, I was definitely a concert junkie. I went to a ton of events. And if you know anything about concerts or live events they can get pricey. So, I figured out ways to get into events for free. Below are the two things that I’ve done to get into some dope events and you can do the same thing too.
Number One. Do you have a skill? Are you a photographer, or roadie, sound engineer, stagehand? You can get into events by volunteering your time or your talent. Many large-scale productions need hands. And they would love hands that they don’t actually have to pay. If there is an event you want to go to, see if they have a volunteer program.
For example, I joined a radio station’s street promo team, and in return, they gave me passes to the music festival that I was working at. Another time, I joined a social media promo team to gain a ticket into the AfroPunk music festival. I know not all events or music festivals have these kinds of programs, but do your research and you’ll be surprised.
Number Two. Work at the event. This is pretty much the same as number one, only, you make extra cash in the process. I’ve worked for a wine festival, a music festival, a Marathon race. And from working those events, I made money, got some discounted or free merch, and met some awesome people.
