I’m going through a phase, an anime phase. But I’m okay if this phase of my life sticks around. Weebdom has grown on me. Of course, I grew up watching Yugi-Oh, DBZ, and Pokemon. I never gave much thought to it. I wasn’t obsessed with it by any means. I’d watch Pokemon before school and DBZ after school. It was just routine. I liked it, but I didn’t like, like it.

Now in my adult life, I have been to 2 comic cons. And I knew a bunch of weebs. So I decided to see what all the hype was about. Given that it is a panorama and I’m a complete housecat anyway, I decided to try watching Hunter X Hunter. I found out about the show when I was Googling, “black anime/graphic novel characters.” On the list was, Canary, one of the infamous Zoldyck family’s servants. She is a complete badass herself, but that’s for another article. Anyway, I thought, okay, I can get into this. I literally went on Tubi and started watching from the beginning. I won’t go into the whole synopsis of what the show is about. But needless to say, it’s a good starter show for new weebles.
