Life has a way of socializing us to be people-pleasers. We say yes to things that we really don’t want to say yes to. If the boss asks you to take on more work, you say yes, because it shows you are taking initiative. When your friend asks you to go out aft a long work week, you say yes, because friends are hard to come by. Or, maybe your sibling asks you to borrow money, you say yes, because family comes first. There are so many scenarios in which we are put into positions to say yes, when we really need to say no for our own well-being.

It’s usually not worth the pay and the pain of that extra $10hr-$20hr.

We need to know our limits. As humans we all have a limit that we should not exceed. I personally tend to not take my own advice, biting off more that I can chew and choking later. But one thing I have learned is that it is okay to say no. I want to help you accomplish this with confidence and while feeling literally…
